As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) - Medical AI you take technical ownership of operating, scaling, and securing our AI-based medical devices in production. You ensure that regulatory requirements (MDR) are naturally embedded in how we build, deploy, and operate software — without slowing down product delivery.

You work hands-on on engineering while closely collaborating with regulatory and product teams to keep our AI systems fast to iterate, reliable in production, and ready for international rollout.
Own post-release operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our medical devices.
Design and improve delivery, monitoring, and scaling for AI services.
Shape engineering and development standards that keep delivery speed high while inherently supporting MDR compliance.
Master the international product rollout, ensuring reliability, availability, and security.
Work closely with our regulatory team to ensure compliance and smooth certifications.
Work closely with our product team to maintain a strong product-first mindset.

What makes you a great fit

You have hands-on experience with medical devices and the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) in a technical role
You have a very good degree in a technical (MINT) field of study
You have at least 5 years of professional experience with AI-based systems, with emphasis on delivery, operation, and reliability
You have a clear product focus: you care about what ships, what runs, and what users experience
You are comfortable taking ownership and shaping processes in a scale-up environment
You are fluent in our tech stack: Python, AWS, Github Actions

Als Senior oftware Engineer – Medical AI (m/w/d) übernimmst du die technische Verantwortung für den Betrieb, die Skalierung und die Security unserer KI-basierten Medizinprodukte im Produktiveinsatz. Du stellst sicher, dass regulatorische Anforderungen (MDR) selbstverständlich in Entwicklung, Deployment und Operations integriert sind – ohne die Produktentwicklung auszubremsen.

Du arbeitest hands-on in der Entwicklung und kooperierst eng mit Regulatory- und Product-Teams, um unsere KI-Systeme schnell weiterzuentwickeln, zuverlässig zu betreiben und international auszurollen.
Verantwortung für den Betrieb nach Markteinführung, Monitoring und kontinuierliche Verbesserung unserer Medizinprodukte
Design und Optimierung von Deployment-, Monitoring- und Skalierungsprozessen für AI Services
Weiterentwicklung von Engineering- und Entwicklungsstandards, die hohe Geschwindigkeit ermöglichen und gleichzeitig MDR-Compliance sicherstellen
Umsetzung internationaler Produkt-Rollouts mit Fokus auf Zuverlässigkeit, Verfügbarkeit und Security
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Regulatory-Team zur Sicherstellung von Compliance und reibungslosen Zertifizierungen
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Product-Team mit klarem Product-First-Mindset

Das bringst du mit

Praktische Erfahrung mit Medizinprodukten und der EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) in einer technischen Rolle
Sehr guter Hochschulabschluss in einem technischen (MINT-)Studiengang
Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung mit KI-basierten Systemen, mit Schwerpunkt auf Deployment, Betrieb und Zuverlässigkeit
Starker Produktfokus: Du denkst in ausgelieferten Features, stabilen Systemen und Nutzererlebnis
