Your role at Ocumeda

Have you already proven that you can build and scale a market, and are you now looking to take the next step in a fast-growing MedTech company? At Ocumeda, you own our growth in Spain and shape how we bring our mission of preventing avoidable vision loss to life here. You build the local team and partnerships, and you adapt our central strategy to the local market. We have just launched here and are moving fast to make easily accessible, affordable eye care the new standard. If you want to take ownership and build a local organization from the ground up, you have come to the right place.
  • You own Ocumeda's growth in Spain with full P&L responsibility, including budget, forecast and KPIs
  • You build our partner network: you win, onboard and develop optician partners
  • You position Ocumeda and our value proposition with opticians, ophthalmologists, key opinion leaders and, where relevant, end customers
  • You build your local team across sales and customer support, and lead and develop it as the market grows
  • You translate the central strategy, product and pricing into the needs of the local market and work closely with HQ (growth, product, medical, operations)
  • Together with the medical and legal teams, you ensure quality and compliance
  • You represent Ocumeda in the Spanish market at industry, professional and partner events

What makes you a great fit

  • You have several years of leadership experience as a Country Manager, Managing Director or in a comparable commercial leadership role, ideally within an international structure
  • You bring a strong background in the optical, ophthalmology or eye-care industry (e.g. lenses, ophthalmic medical devices, optical retail or related MedTech) and understand how opticians and ophthalmologists work
  • You have a proven track record in B2B sales and key account management, including building long-term relationships with optical chains and independent practices
  • You have experience launching and scaling a product, service or platform in a market, and a build-up mindset (0→1)
  • You have an established network among Spanish opticians and ophthalmologists or a proven ability to build one quickly
  • You work in a structured, independent way and enjoy taking ownership
  • You speak fluent Spanish (native/ C2) and English (C1); German is a plus
  • You are willing to travel frequently (both domestically and to Germany)
  • Experience in myopia management, prevention, telemedicine or digital health is a plus, but not a must
  • Experience with medical device regulatory frameworks (e.g. EU MDR) is a plus

What you can expect from us

  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work with the option to work from home
  • Personal development budget for training, conferences, and professional growth
  • High degree of autonomy, fast decision-making, and real opportunities to help shape the company
  • Regular feedback, short decision-making paths, and individual development opportunities
